Live in London on the 18th December

December 3rd, 2009 · News

Once again the very lovely and delightful Ten Minute Cloud have asked me to support them at their forthcoming London Show at the Cockpit Theatre in Gateforth Street, London. I should be onstage around 7.00-7.30ish and will be rushing off home straight after as the next day might be quite busy at work.

Emily

October 25th, 2009 · Lyrics, Songs Without Words

Don’t try to tell me you’re innocent
And I’ll do my best and I’ll try not to put up a fight
Because the time’s not right

Don’t paint me in shades of vermillion
And don’t give me shadows when you can’t show me your source of light
Just stretch me on the canvas and lay your body down

Save all your tears ’til the morning
And I’ll do my best and I’ll try not to let out a sigh
Because by winds the size of these we die

End Of Time

October 25th, 2009 · Lyrics, Songs Without Words

Half way home my feet begin to tire
I pause where other journeys ended
I think I’ll lay my head down for a while
And contemplate the end of time

The woman they buried here died giving birth to a son
The son lived happily regardless
It makes no difference if you walk or run
You’ll get to see the end of time

Taken

October 25th, 2009 · Lyrics, Songs Without Words

Taken from the first day
Taken from the last
Taken from the future that navigates my past
Taken from each waking hour
Taken from the dream
Taken from the fire escape of life as it may seem
Taken from the perfume
Taken from the touch
Taken from each salted tear of eyeliner and blush
Taken from the poetry
Taken from each song
Taken from the sepia blur where memories belong
Taken from the bedroom
Taken from the hall
Taken from the time-worn stairs
Taken from the floor
Taken from the violence
Taken from the kind
Taken from each warm embrace
Taken from behind
Taken, my love is taken from me
Taken from the picture
Taken from the wall
Taken from the moments shared each polaroid now torn
Taken with a flashlight
Taken from above
Taken from the ashes bright
A photograph of my love
